The Building Bridges to Better Care program is intended to equip interdisciplinary healthcare teams with evidence-based knowledge and collaborative strategies necessary to care for patients with and at risk for substance use disorder. This program contains 10 individual sessions for a total of 13 hours. Through an interdisciplinary approach, this series fosters enhanced patient care, promotes understanding of trauma-informed practices and cultural humility, strengthens advocacy and policy awareness, provides an in depth review of the science of pain as well as evidence based strategies for treatment of both pain and opioid use disorder, and emphasizes the critical importance of interprofessional communication to improve patient outcomes and recovery. 

This project is funded under a Grant Contract with the Tennessee Opioid Abatement Council.
